Pipe Dreams

Pile of rusted pipes glowing Electric Blue

Although I frequently play around with my shots in Photoshop, I rarely post the results here or on my website because I really do not take it all that seriously. But, as some of you might now, I am currently without a car and therefore somewhat limited in my photo choices. I found these rusty pipes outside a construction site and was intrigued. Even more so after with the help of some adjustments in Photoshop, they began to glow in - did I mention I love the color Blue :D ?

Netted

Fishermen's netting at a Marina near Hampton Bays

Took a little drive out east today and discovered this fishing marina with piles and piles of netting lying around the yard. This made for very colorful pics but unfortunately I had to stop as soon as I started because rain suddenly began to fall. Will definitely return one of these days to shoot some more. Can somebody please tell me what the official term for the round floaty thingies is?

White

Abandoned warehouse in Babylon, Long Island

I was intrigued by the white-on-white colors combined with rust. This is an old warehouse door near the Babylon Town Docks. Ironically my husband, standing far away from the monitor, had a different take on this - he thought it looked like a birds-eye view of a pick-up truck in the snow. The mailbox being the pick-up and the knob and lock lanterns/hydrants or some other sidewalk fixtures, with the newspaper holder below the box making for perfect tire tracks in the snow... Yes, now I see it too - pretty funny

Hanging Out

Old fashioned lantern hanging outside north shore motel

I saw this lantern, the striped awning and squeaky blue sky and figured it was "worth a shot"...
